I was just thinking, wouldn't it be nice if there were a boss that would drop a blue max damage, max +inheriant bonus weapon of certain skin (or a small group of skins) but without mods fairly regularly (slighty more often than some bosses drop their greens)? In other words, how many of us would be happy at the change to be able to farm some gold skins, taking a higher chance of that item dropping in return for the knowledge that it might not be perfect?

The best thing I can think of like this is the ice imps in mineral springs that drop the IDSs. But instead of IDSs, if you want to farm say spathas, you'd go to so and you'd get a fairly good change of getting a max spatha of some sort.

And extention of this idea is make it so that bosses that drop greens will also drop a max blue of that skin with some regularity. For example, the boss that drops the mindclouder will drop max serpent staves but without the mods as well or rajian will drop broadswords in addition to the fervor... I'm thinking this should be a small chance like the greens, but slightly higher. For example, farming raijian you might get a broadsword every 4-8 runs in addition to a fervor every 10-12 runs.

I'm not sure of the exact numbers and the skins should be more or less common ones, meaning no crystalines or sephis axes, but probably not crafter skin weapons either, and they should be somewhat more common than a mob you'd usually farm for that weapon type (being a boss and all or a swarm in a hard to reach place)... Maybe one some of the Jade Army caster bosses around keinang will drop a max bo staff for their class every 4-5 times you beat them.
